Mark your calendars now for the PTSO Open House - Thursday, September 6. (W,F,Tu)
STUDENT LUNCH FORMS - Just a reminder to students who have not completed the lunch form as of this date - The grace period will end on 9/14/12. After that date, only current information will be accepted. No fee waivers will be processed until the lunch form has been completed and approved.

National Honor Society offers free tutoring in all subjects every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-3:45 in the Guidance Office. Tutors this Thursday are Jason Xiong and Sijia Ma. – L. Bailey

Seniors: Mark your calendars and save your money! Jostens will be distributing graduation supply packets on Wednesday, October 10, and orders for graduation supplies will be taken soon thereafter. A $60 deposit is required. More info later. (W) – T. Ledden
Literary lovers: apply to be an editor of Branching Out, the ORHS literary magazine. Write a letter introducing yourself and explaining why you believe you would be a good editor. Include your other time commitments and interests. Bring your letter to Ms. Sasser in CS336 by Wednesday afternoon at 1:45. (W) – J. Sasser

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors: PSAT/NMSQT® Registration starts this week! The PSAT is a Practice SAT (for 10th and 11th graders) and the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (for 11th graders only). This is an optional test, but students are strongly encouraged to participate.
The 2012 PSAT/NMSQT test date will be Wednesday, October 17 and the test will be given at ORHS during the school day. Registration will be held at the following times:
Thursday evening, September 6th during Open House
Tuesday, September 11th during lunch and after school
Wednesday, September 12th during lunch and after school
Thursday, September 13th during lunch and after school
You must sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT during the registration dates here at Oak Ridge High School. Online registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is not available. The cost is $14. You must pay with a check or cash when you register. (9/13) – B. Ottinger
