The German Club meets Wednesday at 1:40 to organize for election of officers. All students interested in joining the Club should attend, and those interested in running for election should prepare a speech of introduction, to be presented at next week’s election. (W) – K. Tilson
Class of 2014! It is time to elect members to the Junior Committee. Members will help the Junior class officers plan activities as well as help make decisions for your class. Elected members will be required to attend meetings and activities throughout the year, all of which will help boost your academic resume. To apply, pick up a Petition from a Junior class officer, get it signed by 25 Junior students and turn it in by this Friday. Once petitions have been turned in, names will be placed on a ballot and Juniors will vote to elect a committee of ten. Your Junior class officers are: Dasha Gorin, Emeline Brown, Hannah Craig, and Yuri Kato. (W) – D. Sobek

If you signed up for the dual enrollment, “Introduction to Theatre” class to be held on Wednesday afternoons, please see Mr. Moreno as soon as possible in Room LC 215 to pick up a packet of forms that must be filled out immediately. Ready for the new season of Masquers? Masquers is what we call the ORHS drama team. This year we will be performing the play: “You Can’t Take it with You” in the Fall. In the spring, the hills will be alive with the musical: “The Sound of Music”. If you are interested in acting, singing, dancing, costuming, props, stagecraft, lights, or sounds come to our first meeting next Wednesday, August 22nd at 2PM in the auditorium. Ski Club 2013 Are you interested in traveling to Colorado for Spring Break 2013? ORHS Ski Club is planning a trip to Winterplace, Colorado if there are enough students/staff/parents interested. All interested students need to get an information sheet from the board near room LC 210 and return it before Labor day weekend! If there is enough interest ... the trip will happen! Spread the word! Key Club - Key Club, a service organization, will meet after school on Wednesday, August 22, in room CS 333. Key Club members volunteer for local organizations such as The Children’s Museum and Relay for Life. We collect funds for UNICEF, and we support our troops in Afghanistan by participating in Any Soldier.com. New ideas and new members are very welcome! (Tu) - B. Jernigan
