If you are interested in playing Golf next year stop by the main office to sign up. An interest meeting will be held Tuesday, May 8th 4:30 at Oak Ridge Country Club to discuss upcoming try-outs and plans for the season. (W,F,M) – R. Sumner
Senior Steering Members need to meet next Monday May 7th at 3pm in Mrs. Kile’s room (CS228) to finalize senior song, slideshow and breakfast plans. (F) – J. Kile
National Honor Society will hold its final meeting of the year for senior members on Monday, May 7th at 3:00 in LC-327. All members not taking AP tests that day are expected to attend. See Mrs. Bailey in LC-304 to explain conflicts. (M) – L. Bailey

The Criminal Justice Club will meet on Tuesday, May 8 at 3:15. The meeting will go until approximately 4:00. We will meet in the media center conference room. If you are interested in joining the club and have not yet turned in a membership form, they are located in student services and you can bring it with you on Tuesday. (Tu) – D. McFee

SENIORS! If you want to submit pictures for the senior slideshow, you need to email your photos to srclass@ortn.edu. Send us your pictures from kindergarten all the way through prom last weekend and everything in between! The limit is 5 submissions per person. See Mrs. Kile or Mrs. Henry with questions. (F) – J. All Seniors interested in SCUBA Diving at Graduation Celebration need to pick up a SCUBA packet from Student Affairs. Space is limited. Additional information will be provided to those students that turn in paperwork by the May 25th deadline. Graduation Celebration and SCUBA diving are FREE events that will take place on May 31st at the Civic Center. All Oak Ridge graduates are eligible to attend. Seniors are also reminded to turn in the yellow permission forms by May 15th if possible. (M. Reedy) - W

BOYS BASKETBALL Tryouts - JV & Varsity – Wednesday 5/16 – Wildcat Arena This will be the ONLY try out available for this upcoming basketball season 2012-2013. Each participant must have a sports physical dated after April 30, 2012 to be able to participate in try-outs and spring practice. (x Th) – A. Green
Youth Advisory Board - UPCOMING EVENTS
The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 YAB Election. Applications are due June 1, 2012. Sixteen applicants will be confirmed and appointed by City Council to serve a one-year term of office that commences on August 1, 2012. To be considered, applicants must be residents of Oak Ridge and entering grade levels 8th through 12th. Participation on the YAB requires attendance at bi-monthly meetings on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., as well as at special events that are held throughout the year. All interested students are encouraged to fill out the new, on-line application which is available on the City Clerk’s Departmental Website or at http://tiny.cc/yab. Paper applications are available in the Student Services Office at Oak Ridge High School, and at the front desk of the Civic Center. (Tu, Th)
