FREE SPORTS PHYSICAL CLINIC - SUNDAY, APRIL 29 - Methodist Medical Physical Therapy Center for any student planning on participating in High School sports next year. Students are reminded that they must have a sports physical dated after April 15 to be able to participate in any ORHS Athletic program next year. Hours for this clinic are as follows: 1:00 - Upcoming Seniors 1:30 - Upcoming Juniors 2:00 - Upcoming Sophomores 2:30 - Upcoming Freshmen Be sure to bring your completed physical form to the clinic with you. Forms are available in the Main Office and from the coaches.

The City Youth Advisory Board is hosting a "Battle of the Teen Bands" at 6 p.m. at the A.K. Bissell Park Pavilion on Friday night, April 27, 2012. The pavilion is located behind the Oak Ridge Civic Center. The musical competition will feature local bands and groups vying for prizes and the honor of being named B.O.B. Champion. Admission is free, and concessions will be sold by Razzleberry’s. All band members must be under the age of 21 and a registration fee of $20 must be paid by the April 18, 2012. BOYS BASKETBALL Tryouts - JV & Varsity – Wednesday 5/16 – Wildcat Arena This will be the ONLY try out available for this upcoming basketball season 2012-2013. Youth Advisory Board - UPCOMING EVENTS
The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 YAB Election. Applications are due June 1, 2012. Sixteen applicants will be confirmed and appointed by City Council to serve a one-year term of office that commences on August 1, 2012. To be considered, applicants must be residents of Oak Ridge and entering grade levels 8th through 12th. Participation on the YAB requires attendance at bi-monthly meetings on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., as well as at special events that are held throughout the year. All interested students are encouraged to fill out the new, on-line application which is available on the City Clerk’s Departmental Website or at http://tiny.cc/yab. Paper applications are available in the Student Services Office at Oak Ridge High School, and at the front desk of the Civic Center.
